Three Hares Rabbits Blue & White Tile Mural Folk Faux Canvas Print

In my adaptation of an ancient design, three chasing hares or rabbits share three ears as they run in a circle. The artwork is in rich, classic shades of blue on a soft grayish white background, all surrounded by dark blue / navy / indigo. A traditional saying borders the bunnies, reading, "Rabbits three and ears as few / Yet each rabbit has its two" in hand lettered script. The decorative corners feature birds and floral patterns inspired by ancient chinoiserie pottery. Originally painted as a ceramic tile mural with kiln-fired glazes and underglazes, lending a soft look to the artwork. A beautiful piece to accent blue and white decor, and great for any rabbit lover. The Three Hares design is found in ancient & medieval art and architecture throughout Europe and the middle east.
