Tishomingo State Park Mississippi Travel Magnet

Tishomingo State Park in northeastern Mississippi sits in the foothills of the Appalachians and offers scenery rare for the state — steep cliffs, sandstone outcrops, waterfalls, rocky creeks, and lush woodlands. It’s especially known for the Bear Creek Canyon and the old swinging footbridge that spans Pennington Creek, structures built in part by CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) crews in the 1930s.
