Tokugawa Hollyhock (13 stamens) Pin
In the Tokugawa Soke family, the center of the Aoi crest was not standardized at first. According to "Gomon Hikae Sho," a document submitted to the shogunate by Goto Nuidono-suke, the official tailor, during the Bunsei era (1818-1830), the first three shoguns, Ieyasu, Hidetada, and Iemitsu, used 33 stamens; Ietsuna used 19 and 23; Tsunayoshi used 23 and 27; and Ienobu used 31 and 35. Round Lapel Pin, Silver Plated
One of our sons has lived in Canada for 20 years with his wife and three daughters. I wanted to wear an expression of unity with them and found this to be perfect for that purpose. Maple leaf in the fore with stars and stripes clearly not in a dominant role.

Good price for the quality. There is a little bit of a gap between the metal border and the face of the pin. Not really applicable. However, insignia is a little blurry.
