Tote Bag - 'A Perfect Day'

Toward the end of 2021, I was approached by the principal of the college where I worked to create an artwork that would celebrate the many years of service that one of the assistant principals had given to the college. I met with her family and learnt of her love of the Werribee River and pelicans. I was able to combine the two in the soft chalk-pastel drawing which I named 'A Perfect Day'. The artwork was based on a photograph I had taken along 'The Cliffs' - not far from Werribee Mansion. It truly was a perfect day, weather-wise, and I was stunned by the landscape that lay before me. I had lived in the area for over twenty years and didn't realize this slice of paradise existed! I'm pleased to be able to share this image with you now and I hope that it will fill you with peaceful, restful thoughts amidst the busyness and trials of life.
