The miracle of saving a falsely accused pilgrim is attributed to Saint James ( São Tiago, in Portuguese) and is territorially linked to the road to Santiago of Compostela. In the Archaeological Museum of Barcelos there is a 14th-century granite cross alluding to this legend, representing the aforementioned “miracle”.
