The assisted living facility where my mother is a resident has a room with a collection of books. It doesn't make sense to have all the formal order of a downtown library--and yet, it's helpful for residents to know which books came from the library, and which are their own. This small stamp applied in key places in each book does exactly what we hoped. We ordered a red ink pad and were concerned that the image from a 1" x 1" stamp would be too blurry and small to actually READ--but we thought the uniformity of shape would be signal enough. We were pleasantly surprised that the lettering IS legible.
This was a perfect, low cost solution for us.
