A one-ruble Russian postage stamp from the Tsarist period, issued in 1889 (Scott Catalog number 45), showing the imperial double-headed eagle; superimposed on an "old paper" background image to resemble an aged, antique envelope. The arched Cyrillic text reads "Pochtovaya Marka (postage stamp);" the text below that reads "1. Roob (ruble, abbreviated)." I purchased this as a birthday gift for my sister. I know she'll love it! It's well constructed and perfect to take to the Farmer's Market or the grocery store. It seems very sturdy! There's a large tag sewn in (see photos) that can easily be cut out. The printing actually picked out the most minute detail within the design! I'm surprised, really.
