Tui on Yellow Flax original watercolour design Canvas Print

This is my beautiful watercolour image of a native New Zealand Tui, balanced along a stalk of yellow Flax. Every New Zealander knows the special call of the Tui and the flash of emerald green feathers and white wattle when seen in the garden is a special treat. We have a pair of Tui who visit our garden drinking nectar from the yellow Kowhai flowers when they are in bloom. I will never forget the Christmas day when we heard a Tui calling all day long to its sweetheart high up in a pine tree. I have completed several portraits of Tui and other native New Zealand birds but love doing commissions of birds from other shores. This image can be placed on the wall on wood or paper or can cheerfully adorn a number of other items.
