About This Design

Tulips In Spring Coffee Mug

Tulips In Spring Coffee Mug

Tulips are one of the earliest flowers to bloom in the spring. Let this mug be a reminder of the glory that awaits you in your garden in the spring. Tulips can also be symbolic of other things. For example, each spring in Ottawa, the Tulip Festival is a reminder of the connection of the Netherlands and Canada. During the Second World War, the Dutch Royal Family sought refuge in Ottawa. Canadian troops also were instrumental in the liberation of the Netherlands. To show their appreciation for Canada's help, in 1945 the Dutch Royal Family sent 100,000 tulip bulbs to Ottawa. More bulbs would follow as the years passed. 2619 Canadian soldiers, who died in the liberation of the Netherlands, are buried there.

It is a lovely mug. The actual mug is shiny and smooth. Very nice quality. It was everything I expected. Zazzle has so many nice mid century modern designs to choose from. All so pretty! The design was very clear and looked expensive.

This product caught my eye as the perfect gift that acknowledges the lifelong nurturing of mothers. All cups were individually and securely bubble wrapped for easy reshipping. (nice touch) Printing is a bit small for me to read but I look forward to blessing my daughters and others with this message of their sacrificial love. Thanks much. Printing was a challengingly small for me to read.
