Göreme National Park, located in central Turkey's Cappadocia region, is renowned for its surreal landscape of "fairy chimneys"—tall, thin spires of rock formed through the erosion of volcanic deposits over millions of years. These unique geological formations have been shaped by the forces of wind and water acting upon the soft tuff rock, resulting in a terrain punctuated by pillars, cones, and mushroom-like structures. In recognition of its exceptional natural and cultural value, Göreme National Park, along with the surrounding rock sites of Cappadocia, was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985
