    Twelve Dancing Princesses is a colorful vintage children's fairy tale illustration by American book illustrator, Elenore Abbott in 1920. The story is about twelve princesses who secretly left their castle at night with 12 princes and danced the night away until their shoes wore out. They did this often until they were found out by their father the King! It is one of many German fairy tales originally written down by the Brothers Grimm.
