This design features an etching with an aquatint and grey wash by English artist George Morland (1763–1804). It shows two pigs sleeping in straw. It is a beautiful scene of countryside life. Depending on how the image is cropped to create a perfect fit for this particular item, you may be spot the initials G.M. on one of the fence posts. You may also be able to spot a particularly audacious bird standing proud atop another fence post.
