Two Seated Lions (Wild Animals) (Albrecht Durer) Ceramic Tile

This design features an artwork by Albrecht Dürer (1471–1528), who was a German painter, printmaker and theorist of the German Renaissance. It shows two lions in a seated position. The lion (Panthera leo) is a large mammal of the Felidae (cat) family. Wild lions live today in sub-Saharan Africa and in Asia. Lions are sometimes called the "king of the beasts" or the "king of the jungle", despite the fact that they usually live in savanna and grassland. Lions are also seen as symbols of courage and dignity. A group of lions is called a pride.
