Presenting a beautiful collection of ceramic ornaments bearing black and white images of ports and harbors as they existed in 18th—Century Britain. The image on this product offers a view of Tynemouth Lighthouse and the Priory area and shows a life-boat in the act of saving the crew of a vessel which has struck the rock on which the lighthouse is built. This area is quite treacherous. It is said that more vessels have been lost here trying to enter the Harbour in stormy weather, than at any other Harbour in Great Britain. The area reached its peak with the rise of the industrial revolution.
