Oil painting by the Dutch master Vincent Van Gogh(1853-1890) Probably his most famous painting,Van Gogh painted 'The Starry Night' in 1889 from memory while in an asylum in France where he checked himself in for depression.The scene depicts the view from his bedroom window.
