Edward Borein was an American etcher and painter whose artwork depicted Spanish Colonial California, the Old West, and Mexico. He worked as a vaquero in California for 20 years before he began his artistic career. This painting is called “Vaquero and Steer”.A horse-mounted individual, adorned with a sombrero, energetically chases a bull across a sandy landscape.
