Venus is very similar in terms of composition and mass to Earth. However, it could hardly be more different. It's atmosphere is made of carbon dioxide, which causes a run away greenhouse effect. It snows bismuth and lead on its mountain tops, and it rains sulphuric acid on the surface. Evidence from old Megellan data suggests that there's at least one active volcano still erupting on the surface.
