Vermeer's classic painting Girl with a Pearl Earring is the most famous painting created by Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer. The Girl with a Pearl earring is a masterpiece created in 1665 and hangs in the Hague. In the Vermeer masterwork "Girl with a Pearl Earring", the young girl looks out at us, a simple pearl in her ear. She wears a blue headpiece, with white cloth hanging down her back. "Girl with a Pearl Earring" is sometimes compared to the Mona Lisa, or the Dutch Mona Lisa". Vermeer was a master artist, but his works are very rare, as not many of his paintings have survived.

I chose gold plated so that the metal would not react with my skin oils and perspiration. But, I changed the necklace from the gold plated one to a sterling silver. My skin cells will tarnish the silver. But it will not look as bad if some portion of the gold plated necklace somehow became compromised. Zazzle did a find job turning the picture into a pendant for me. As you can see, the colors and the printing of the final product, match the preview. The picture I took is not very clear. But I am pleased with the product I received.
