I got this marvelous image from a stack of stack of 1890s-1910 mounted prints owned by a retired antiques dealer, many of which originally appears in the newspapers of the time. True fact: back in the day, the Philadelphia Inquirer would publish full-size, full-color prints ever Sunday. Some of what I have are these original Inquirer prints. However, this lovely image came from a magazine of the period, and was captioned ‘Handsome Evening Toilettes.’ I can’t find any clothing-related definition of that word. The puzzle was ok. The pieces were really small and they don’t include a blueprint to use. Which would be fine if the photo on the front of the box was larger, but it’s also very small and not really useful for details. I don’t think I’d buy another one from Zazzle until they start providing at least some sort of reference photo. .
