I got this marvelous image from a stack of stack of 1890s-1910 mounted prints owned by a retired antiques dealer, many of which originally appeared in the newspapers of the time. True fact: back in the day, the Philadelphia Inquirer would publish full-size, full-color prints ever Sunday. Some of what I have are these original Inquirer prints. However, this lovely image came from a magazine of the period, and was captioned ‘Handsome Evening Toilettes.’ I can’t find any clothing-related definition of that word. My daughter is a huge Sesame Street fan, and her favorite is Oscar. For her birthday I wanted to get her something special with Oscar and this blanket is perfect!! It is a nice size and super soft and comfy! She takes her nap and goes to sleep with it every day, definitely worth every dollar!! I was a little skeptical about how the actual image would come out, but after receiving the blanket I couldnt be more pleased. The colors are bright and the image is sharp. The details are amazing!!
