Darlington, Runk & Co. was a Philadelphia importer of silks, brocades, other fine fabrics, passementerie, and other ladies accessories from about 1870 to 1900. The image here, from my personal collection, is one of the more attractive Darlington Runk trade cards. (There are a number of them to be found on the ‘net.) I wanted happier curtains in this window so I made a seamless repeat in the things and colors that make me happy and ordered them in this tapestry then made curtain rod pockets. I love how it came out and I can use the fabric to make something else when I’m tired of them. Excellent. The colors are bright and look great the fabric is soft and hangs well.
