Viking Shield and Axes Square Paper Coaster

Rauð hönd ok örn. A Viking shield and crossed battle axes superimposed on a wooden plank wall background image. The shield is black on the left side with a red right hand print. The other side of the shield is blue with a white eagle in Celtic-Norse style. Customize by adding your own text. Viking shields varied. I have based this on historical examples. Shields were sometimes covered in leather, as is this one. As a result the paint is imperfect allowing for a hint of the underlying leather to be seen. Iron edges were rare; I have opted for leather edging as was often used. I opted for simple ax heads instead of the beard axe and more fanciful interpretations that are commonly employed by artists.
