Vincent van Gogh - Flowering Garden Button

Flowering Garden, painted in 1888 in oil on canvas by Dutch Post-Impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh in Arles. Van Gogh painted this dense summer garden in July, when he was repeatedly returning to beds of flowers and foliage around Arles. The upright format crowds the surface with plants, patches of intense color and short, energetic strokes. In a letter to Theo he described working on a garden full of flowers and making multiple painted studies of the motif.
