Vincent van Gogh - Irises Square Sticker

Irises / Still Life: Vase with Irises, painted in 1890 in oil on canvas by Dutch Post-Impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Van Gogh painted this bouquet during his final weeks at Saint-Rémy, shortly before leaving Saint-Rémy. The dense violet irises rise from an earthenware vase against a brilliant yellow field, creating one of the strongest complementary color contrasts in his flower still lifes. It belongs to a group of four ambitious spring bouquets - two of irises and two of roses - in which he explored very different harmonies of color and format.
