About This Design

Vincent van Gogh - Roses Matchboxes

Vincent van Gogh - Roses Matchboxes

Roses / Still Life: Pink Roses in a Vase, painted in 1890 in oil on canvas by Dutch Post-Impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Van Gogh painted these roses just before leaving Saint-Rémy, as part of a small group of four large flower still lifes. The blossoms were originally much pinker than they appear today, but unstable red pigments faded over time, leaving the bouquet paler. Broad strokes, dark outlines and the green vase turn the flowers into a study of color relationships rather than a conventional botanical arrangement.

So cute and so easy to assemble! My fiancé and I put the labels on in less than fifteen minutes. They shipped so quickly and are the perfect size to give as a little favor. I’ve shown a few of my friends pictures of them and have gotten so many compliments on how chic they are. I cannot recommend this shop enough! .

Every Zazzle item I ordered for my son’s wedding was absolutely perfect! We had a “cigar bar” at the wedding, and the matches were a perfect extra touch! .
