Vintage Franz Marc Monkey Frieze Tile

Incorporated into the design of this product is a beautiful reproduction of "Monkey Frieze" | created in 1911 by Franz Marc. Franz Marc was a German painter and print-maker and one of the main characters of the German Expressionist movement. He was a founding member of The Blue Rider, a journal whose name would later become identical with the circle of artists collaborating in it. Marc was born February 8, 1880 in Munich, Germany to a father who was a professional landscape painter. His career was cut short by his early death on March 4, 1916 after suffering head injury at the Battle of Verdun during World War 1.

From the pictures we needed to replace two tiles that had the old toothbrush and soap dish and the tile guy said two tiles would have to be removed. The tiles were PERFECT! just a slight color difference to the naked eye but they match pretty darn good. Tile guy had to shave the back because the 1957 tile was thinner but as you can see it worked out great! We are elated over the moon happy, Thank you!
