This natural color Lumiere Autochrome process photo is from our private collection and was taken in Hawaii circa 1910. It shows a beautiful Wahine in traditional dress strumming her Ukulele on the beach backed by banana trees. Color photographs from this era in Hawaii are extremely rare. The Autochrome process was the first color photographic process commercially available to the general public, beginning in 1907. As soon as I saw this bag, I got very excited. These colors are so vivid. Great gift to give to dear friend or keeping it for yourself. The tote bag is very vivid. The print came out beautiful. I am very pleased with my order. To make the colors of the trees pop, I used white fabric paint on the trees.
