Vintage Ivan Choultse Winter Landscape Ceramic Tile

A gorgeous print of "Winter Landscape" a painting by Ivan Fedorovich Choultse (1874 - 1939). Ivan Fedorovich Choultse was a Russian landscape realistic painter of German ancestry – his family had lived in Russia since the 17th century. Choultse was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia – his family name was originally spelt Schultze. Snow and water were his favorite subject - he liked painting winter landscape, especially the Swiss landscape, and was known for painting impressive snow scenes in which the light seemed to come from behind the canvas and glow. Choultse died in Nice, France in 1939.

From the pictures we needed to replace two tiles that had the old toothbrush and soap dish and the tile guy said two tiles would have to be removed. The tiles were PERFECT! just a slight color difference to the naked eye but they match pretty darn good. Tile guy had to shave the back because the 1957 tile was thinner but as you can see it worked out great! We are elated over the moon happy, Thank you!
