Vintage - Three Maidens and a Knight,

A vintage book illustration called "Three Maidens" by Florence Susan Harrison from the 1914 book titled "Early Poems of William Harris." It depicts a golden knight on his horse in the forest with three fairy maidens dancing around him. The artist, Florence Susan Harrison (1877-1955) was born on board the Windsor Castle, a ship bound from London to Brisbane, Australia. Her father, Norwood Harrison, was a master mariner and ship’s captain, and his family spent much time of their time at sea with him. In between voyages, Florence attended a school run by a great-aunt in Folkestone, England. As an adult, Florence lived in England and for some time in Belgium. She was an Art Nouveau and Pre-Raphaelite illustrator of poetry and children’s books including some books of her own poetry. Following Florence’s death, her artwork was often mistakenly attributed to Emma Florence Harrison, a Victorian-era artist who exhibited at the Royal Academy in the 19th century. To this day, Florence Susan Harrison’s artwork can be found on many Internet art websites incorrectly attributed to Emma Florence Harrison. This card is blank inside for your own message.

I love how my "Happy Pupcrossing!" postcard turned out! It's so pretty! Zazzle prints top notch postcards and greeting cards! This postcard is available in my online Zazzle shop without the text on it if you're not a Postcrosser. The easiest way to find my Zazzle shop is through my associate link which is located on the navigation bar of my artist website Ink Goes Wild Alaska. I earn a little extra profit when you use that link. Corinne Danzl Ink Goes Wild Alaska.
