In the late 1880s to 1940s, Vinegar Valentines were a popular way to send a message to someone you didn't like or someone you wanted to prank. They had rude but funny messages about a type of person that was written as an insult. This card depicts an office scene where a woman is talking loudly on the phone - Yackity, yack, yack. Two other employees stand in the background holding a trophy and a winner's sash that says "Gossip of the Year." The verse on the front of the card says: "You've got a big mouth and how you do yack - minding everyone's business behind their back! If there was an award, from what I hear, you'd win it for sure - Gossip of the Year." The inside of the card is blank for your own message.
