Vivid red Cyclamen on a dark black background Notepad

This image was taken from my original watercolor painting of red Cyclamen bloom on a deep black background. In this painting I felt the need to use a watercolor glazing technique in order to capture the depth and intensity of color of the vivid red blossoms. The subject was painted in transparent watercolor, allowed to dry completely and that process repeated nearly 50 times. Although very time consuming it is the only way to capture the richness and intensity of the subject matter.
