Wabi Kusa – water plant ikebana T-Shirt

Aquarium designs have undergone a revolution during the last one or two decades. Japanese designs have played a major role in this development. A side venue is the art of arranging water plants in pleasing minimalistic designs, growing them emersely or above water. Often, these water plants are complemented by the use of other tropical plants, which thrive on high humidity. Thus, the art of Kadō (flower arrangement) has found a new interpretation. There is a relationship of modern wabi kusa with ancient kusamono or kokedama, which are small minimalistic flower arrangements accompanying bonsai displays. Wabi kusa roughly translates to „beautiful grass landscape“. It echoes the wabi sabi values of minimalism and evanescence.
