Washable Fabric Brooch Create Your Own Lapel Pin
Say something or show your individuality with this button lapel pin, a fashion costumer jewelry brooch, with removable metal brooch pin back! The pin is made completely of fabric and and acid free, interfacing called Ultrahold. It is by Therm o Web HeatnBond, and the pattern panels are printed on the paper backing of this fabric adhesive using my inkjet printer. Ultrahold allows the pin to keep its shape and structure, even after washing and the adhesive seals the 2 holes, keeping the fabric from fraying. The pin is made of 4 panels of fabric and Ultrahold, 2 for the front, one with the design and 2 more panels for the finished back panel, with 2 circle holes, to hold the pin back hinge and catch in place. The 2 finished panels make a pocket, with an opening on top, or on the side, along with the 2 holes, allow for the metal brooch pin back to slide in and out. The designs or artwork, poems, word art, catch phrases, can be printed onto washable, colorfast inkjet printer fabric sheets.

Pocket opening made by 3 sides closed to make pocket, as another way for brooch pin to slide in and out. Just remove metal pin back, place fabric pin in lingerie bag, wash in cold, delicate cycle with mild detergent, like Woolite or Dollar Tree brand WoolWash, no fabric softener. Air dry on towel. Do not place in the dryer. Kids can play with the Prym Printed Treasures brand fabric brooch panels, with adult supervision, not for ages 3 and below. Kids ages 3 and up can play with the Prym Printed Treasures brand fabric brooch part, as long as the metal brooch pin back is removed beforehand. With removable metal brooch pin back, held in place through 2 holes on back panel, pocket between finished front and back panels, assembled with thread, front panels sewn together, back panels sewn together, then finished front panel is sewn to finished back panel with opening on top. Uses thread color closest to design print's background color, for thread to blend into the background, as to not stick out like a sore thumb.

This is the first fabric brooch fashion jewelry lapel pin button that is WASHABLE, and the metal, bar style brooch pin back is removable! The metal brooch pin back slides out of the pocket or slides in and out of the 2 holes on the back panel, that hold it in place. Lots of possibilities for this fashion pin, lots of designs, for women or men, anyone. Great for promoting a message, your brand, art, short poems, catch phrases, slogans, teams, logos, even a photo! You can even use these as name badges. I love brooches, and I also love fabric. I wanted to make a brooch to wear, to display my art, as well as utilize all kinds of fabric, silk, satin, ribbons.

I use Therm o Web HeatnBond Ultrahold, an acid free (great for photos), paper back, iron on fabric adhesive interfacing, which allows the pin structure to keep its shape, especially after washing, plus I print the patterns onto the paper backing of the Ultrahold, using my inkjet printer. The Ultrahold seals the edge of the 2 holes, so that they won't fray, especially after washing.
