Watercolor Sunflower Label

Big yellow sunflower art on this address label makes a cheerful presentation. So what made me paint this flower? Sunflowers are such happy flowers! Looking up at this giant sunflower growing in a Colorado garden was an amazing sight. First of all, I never knew they grew that big. Driving through the country, I had seen fields of sunflowers, all turned with their faces to the sun, but were they all that tall, or was this some anomaly? Turns out the sunflower height record is from Germany at a height of just over 30 ft. tall, and this one at 7 ft. or so was not even close. It looked big to me, and that's how I painted it, looking up at the sky with puffy clouds floating above with the big yellow flower looking down on me.
