Waterhouse The Lady of Shalott Puzzle
John William Waterhouse The Lady of Shalott puzzle. Oil painting on canvas from 1888. The Lady of Shalott is a beautiful Pre-Raphaelite painting of a scene from Alfred Lord Tennyson’s poem of the same name. The painting depicts the doomed Lady of Shalott sailing towards Camelot in a small boat draped with a beautiful red tapestry she wove while falling in love with Lancelot. In the boat sit three candles and a crucifix from which the girl looks away. The lady herself is clothed in a flowing light blue medieval dress embroidered with gold. Her hair is light auburn and she holds the chain of the boat as it presses away from the dock into the reeds and lily pads beyond. A great gift for fans of John William Waterhouse, the Pre-Raphaelites, Romantic English painting, and Arthurian Legend.

The puzzle fit together nicely. It was easy to put together. . It looks great the greens pop out on the black background. I framed it so it can be enjoyed for years to come
