I remember leaving California at the age of 17 to my first college in Virginia, whining about it the first month (and cherishing it after that), and every time I would call, Daddy would say, "Just do the best you can and enjoy it!". Well, my reaction was wondering how someone could do the best they can and have time to enjoy .... until I did both. I even enjoyed doing the best I could to the point of honor rolls, unsolicited scholarships, Phi Theta and Beta Kappa ... : ) As the song says (and you are too young to even know the song) those were the days my friend. Again, congrats! The world is waiting for you!
