Wedding of St George, Princess Sabra by Rossetti Ceramic Tile
The Wedding of St. George and the Princess Sabra (1857) by Dante Rossetti is a vintage Victorian Pre-Raphaelite fine art love and romance portrait painting. A romantic medieval scene with Princess Sabra threading a lock of her hair through St George's helmet. A classic fairy tale with a knight in shining armor embracing his lady love and the slain dead dragon beside them.
About the artist:
Dante Gabriel Rossetti (1828-1882) was one of the founders of the Preraphaelite Brotherhood in 1848 and was later to be the main inspiration for second generation of artists and writers influenced by the movement.
