There are some hidden gems in Werribee and the Werribee River and its walking tracks is one of them. A walk along the river makes you forget that you're in suburbia and it truly has that "country" feel about it. The large gum tree featured in this watercolour/pen and ink artwork stands near the walking track not far from the Heaths Road bridge that crosses the river. The river itself is tucked down out of sight behnd the tree. 'Werribee River Gum' evokes feelings of a sunny day's walk in the Australian bush - the sunshine on one's back and beathing in the fragrant air.
