When You Can Get A ROUND TUIT T-Shirt

I stopped into an Irish pub called The Frigate in Brampton for a couple of shots of Dallwhinnie and was served by the lovely Crystal, who had an amazing tattoo on her wrist that I had to ask her about. It’s a unique story that is both compelling and heartwarming and truly unique. On her left wrist was a calligraphic word: Tuit. It had an ornate circle and ornamentation around it, and I just couldn’t figure it out for the life of me. So, of course, I had to ask her about it. Her grandfather, a simple man, used to cut out cardboard circles and write TUIT on them, and put them in his wallet, in his glove compartment, in his desk, in his kitchen… and when he died, his family found at least 6 of them hidden all over the house. It was his personal running joke for many years. He would wait for people to ask him to do something, and he would say, when do you need it? And they would say, whenever you get around to it. And he would beam, and then dig deeply into his pocket, and gift them with his round cardboard TUIT, and be supremely pleased with himself. And almost nobody got it. So, she had her boyfriend at the time design a round elegant TUIT and had it tattooed on her wrist. As her grandfather was an avid hunter, she incorporated a circular scope motif into the design. Her other grandfather was also a simple man, but felt like his life had been a worthy and satisfactory journey. His name was Paul Spratt, and so on the back of her neck she had tattooed “P.S. No regrets.” It’s so rare to find somebody who is willing to honor their family in such a way, and I’m envious of these special relationships that Crystal had with these two special men. I told her that it would make a special t-shirt - to have a black shirt with one design on the front, the circled TUIT, and the No Regrets text on the back. And so it came to be.
