Wick Bay Viking Longship Accent Pillow
A Viking long ship from Norway with a red sail enters the bay at what is now Wick, Scotland circa 811 CE. The sun is low creating a dramatic scene as bright highlights on the sea and clouds contrast with the dark, rocky coast. Customize by adding your own text on the reverse side.
Wick’s was founded by the Norse who first used the mouth of the Wick River as a natural harbor. The town's name itself is derived from the Old Norse word vík, a "bay" or "creek" where ships could anchor. The Vikings controlled Katanes (Headland of the Cats), now the county of Caithness, from the 800s until 1266.

Great quality, colors, and graphics. I bought this for my storytime area in the elementary school Library where I work. It sits on my great grandfathers rocking chair which is also the storytime chair. Students who have shown good behavior get a turn in the chair and immediately snuggle with the pillow (all Covid safe of course). It been washed/sanitized several times already and still looks brand new. Highly recommended for any Library, nursery, reading nook, wherever you want a bit of cheer and added comfort! :). I went with the advertised print of "Storytime" as it was going in my Storytime area. But it can be customized/personalized and the printing is well done. Clear and no smudges, and in an "old school" typewriter font--love it! Reminds me of my own home town Library decor from my childhood.
