Willem Janszoon Blaeu Old German Map Collection Keychain

Willem Janszoon Blaeu Old German Map Collection Keychain

About the map designer: The Dutch cartographer Willem Janszoon Blaeu was born in Alkmaar in 1571. From 1594 to 1596 Blaeu studied astronomy and cartography under his teacher Tycho Brahe and in 1603 moved to Amsterdam. There Blaeu began to produce globes, land and sea maps and a world map, which was published in 1605. In 1633 Willem Janszoon Blaeu was appointed the official cartographer of the Dutch East India Company. The cartographer Bleau died in Amsterdam in 1638. His son Joan Blaeu (1596-1673) took over his father's business. In 1672 the workshop was destroyed by a fire in Amsterdam, which also killed Blaeu's son. 20% of royalties are donated to Habitat for Humanity. Thank you for helping us to donate to this worthy organisation.

Premium Round, Large
These are a durable metal and the colors are vibrant. One of the clasp came broken but received a new one quickly. Customer service was responsive and quick to resolve the issue. They are bigger than I thought but still work for my wedding. I am satisfied with the print quality and surprised at how vibrant the colors are.

Beyond expectations. Choice of artwork is overwhelming, I found exactly what I needed from SJW_Graphics. Detail, colors, overall design looks great on this keyring. Could use as a pendant, purse charm, bookmark, too! Metal is sturdy without being heavy. Colors beautiful, with clear margins. Customized name makes this gift extra special. So many fonts, so many colors & sizes!
