William Morris Acanthus with Monogram Tote Bag
The impressive Acanthus designed by William Morris in 1874 is one of his most instantly recognizable designs and marks the beginning of a period in which Morris created large-scale designs for wallpaper. With typical complex layering and vigorous curves the scrolling, acanthus foliage produces a three-dimensional effect. Shown here in blue, this design is also available in a lush green and gold. William Morris (24 March 1834 - 3 October 1896) was an English textile designer, artist and writer, associated with the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood and the English Arts and Crafts Movement.

This is so adorable that I gave it to my sister right away. It is her dog on the front and when she saw it I just knew I had to gift it to her. As soon as I saw this bag, I got very excited. These colors are so vivid. Great gift to give to dear friend or keeping it for yourself. The tote bag is very vivid. The print came out beautiful. I am very pleased with my order. To make the colors of the trees pop, I used white fabric paint on the trees.
