This beautiful tissue paper design is based on a William Morris & Company textile design called Artichoke. The mauve pink pedals rise up from golden green outer leaves, with other foliage intertwined in the design. The beautiful curling and stylized botanical illustration features many of the elements of Victorian textile design. This image is based on a public domain image from the Brooklyn Museum, and it has been restylized slightly with a filter to bring out the depth of color and pattern.
