    William Morris Elegant Floral Pattern Red Green Bone China Mug - Compton, the image decorating this product was created by John Henry Dearle who lived from 1859 - 1932. Dearle was a talented designer who started out as an apprentice under William Morris and later rose to the position of chief textile designer at Morris & Co. Some of the firm's most beautiful woven textiles were created under Dearle's leadership. He continued working at the firm Morris & Co. for many years after William Morris passing in 1896.
