William Morris Flower Bar - Mug

William Morris, 1834-1896, was one of the most influential voices in Victorian art and architecture, and his influence spread far into the 20th century in the form of the Arts and Crafts Movement that he helped spawn. To me this is a very different design for Morris because of the angles and geometric qualities. I think of his designs as very curvy with a lot of layers involved. In this design there is a blue vine with white flowers that look like lilies. I assume the little white circles are new buds that have yet to bloom. The background is pale green color.
