NC Shipbuilding Co operated from 1941 to 1946, building 243 ships, many of them liberty ships and Navy cargo ships. Collectively, the company’s employees won every award of the United States Maritime Commission. This graphic depicts a liberty ship and the Maritime Commission's Award of Merit badge (worn by workers of shipyards that had exceeded their construction schedule). The background is transparent so the design can be put on shirts of darker color if you prefer.

The shirt is good quality and fits just fine, but the colors of the printing are not as bright as in the sample photo. Not the best. The colors are a lot brighter in the sample photo; when I received the shirt they appeared faded. The red looks a little more pink and the blue is a lot lighter. N.B. I did not wash the shirt yet.
