In 2011, I went roaming in a snow storm with a friend in her pickup truck in central New York State. It's a magical landscape, whether blanketed in snow or flowers. The area is rich with historical structures in various states of repair. Passing by this abandoned cabin with snow falling, I imagined who might have lived in this house 100 years ago, and had to take its picture. Featuring a quote by Oscar Wilde about how time and hardship gives way to wisdom.
