President Obama came to Wisconsin to speak at MasterLock about companies choosing to return jobs to the US. Press covering the event claimed it was "very clear what side President Obama is on here in Wisconsin" because the speech was to be given on a stage flanked by two flags, the US flag and "a flag for the local union, Wisconsin 1848". The problem? That "union" flag was actually Wisconsin's state flag, which references the year we became a state. I liked the idea of a Wisconsin Local 1848 so much I made a shirt.
