The 1896 United States Five Dollar Silver Certificate. One of the three silver certificates issued from the ' Educational Series '. The allegorical motif of the design being ' Electricity as the dominant force in the world '. Without question one of the most handsome engravings the US Mint ever produced - simply magnificent. A wide range of Silver Certificates were issued from 1878 through 1964 and the owner of such a note could redeem the item for silver bullion or silver coins. These were easy to order and came well ahead of the date. They are high qualify labels that peel easily and looked as advertised online.
