They are typically associated with open woodland. The sexes usually have distinctive appearances. The northern cardinal type species was named by colonists for the male's red crest, reminiscent of a Catholic cardinal's biretta.[

The photo is one the hostess took. I ordered another one for myself. Can see many opportunities in the year ahead for more customized photos. I gave it 4 stars only because there was a shadow of words printed underneath the actual words on the plaque that was kinda noticeable but otherwise really good work!! The printing on this wasn't as good as I'd hoped but it wasn't unusable so no big deal! Maybe it was just this time and I'm sure if I had let zazzle know about it, they would have done another one but I needed it right away. I will definitely order it again! Everything else was great! Thank you.
